Wordpress Mobile For BlackBerry has Been Updated to Version 0.9.0.169

The Wordpress Mobile for BlackBerry has been updated to beta version 0.9.0.169 and is one step closer to the 1.0 release. In this update they reworked much of the UI layout for the main view, media view as well for the blog view. Another feature added was the ability to upload videos from your BlackBerry media library. They also created a new file browser that closely resembles the native BlackBerry file browser. For Bloggers that like to upload photos and videos they optimized this version using base64 encoding. There were also big improvements in the speed at which you can view and manage comments.

From November 14th - 20th they will give you a $100 gift card if you purchase a new Black Berry smart phone with a two-year contract. The offer is good in stores and also on online so you don't have to go into the cold to miss the deal. This is the part of their early Black Friday deals promotions that they have talked about. Although you can get them in the store the deals online are different and with the research we did they might actually be better than the in store deals.

So do your research now on Walmart online and then later on go into the store. The online walmart phone shop is powered by Lets Talk and there are more choices for BlackBerry phones online. We found the BlackBerry Storm2 from Verizon for $99.99 and if you can do the math it's basically free with the $100 gift card.

BlackBerry App TwitterBerry Renamed to OpenBeak

The BlackBerry app for Twitter know as TwitterBerry now has been renamed to OpenBeak. This application allows you to post your updates to Twitter over your carriers data network so you don't need to use SMS. The new application didn't change much but they did some minor tweaks. If you are currently using TwitterBerry its time to upgrade and we will proved a download link later. The name change will allow the application to grow beyond just Twitter and the BlackBerry smart phones. This hint to me means they are possibly working for something for Android users.

Openbeak must be run on a BlackBerry smart phone with OS version greater than 4.2.1.

Some of the Features of OpeanBeak include:

One-click access to view friends timelines, replies, your favorites, your own timeline, and the public timeline.
Post pictures to Zannel, TwitPic, Twitgoo, or yfrog.
The ability to reply to tweets from each timeline view.
